What is Pimobile?

PIMobile is a platform developed by CESTEL allowing the publication of contents in real time in a video call. This system differences itself from the other existing until now; it allows showing contents that are generated on line, no need to previously record videos.

The videocall known befote PIMobile was limited to playback pre recorded videos one oafter the other. The only interaction was choosing which video to see. PIMobile revolutionizes this new mobile communication channel, allows showing changing data in real time, deportee results, news, information of our bank account, etc…

Additionally PIMobile let’s you personalize the content for each user; adapt the message and the information to the needs of each video call to give always the best service.

Technology.

The video call is the new service offered by the Terminal in the 3G mobile phone network. This service IS NOT DATA SERVICE, it simply optimize the channel assigned for the voice and is able to transmit video.

This new network being deployed through out Europe will substitute the GSM network no further than 2010. In the present there is already a 22.4 percentage of penetration with 3G terminals. This number is growing by the day because the operators are compromised in renewing the terminals to manage only one mobile network. It’s expected that after Christmas campaign the market of 3G phone would be over 30%.

The video call comes as part of the basic pack the operator offers, the same as a call. No need to contract, configure or install nothing in the mobile phone. Just dial a number and choose video call or call.

How to access?

The same basic way all users have been using all this time, DIALING A NUMBER. The phone gives us the choice to make a call or a video call to the desired number.

If the company already counts with a Publisher voice number it is be possible to offer the PIMobile service with the same numeration. If it’s a cal it goes to the normal service, if it’s a video call it will be answered by the PIMobile application.

To access this service ANY 3G phone is valid. The applications are universal and will offer the same service in any 3G mobile phone used to visualize them. This solves one of the biggest problems existing in the mobile communication world, it was necessary to make an application for each brand-name and phone model.

The video call is based on 3GP standard video format.

How to use it?

Make a video call to the service we want to access and follow the instructions on the screen.

To interact with the video application created in PIMobile just push the keys on the mobile phone. This allows working in the same way in any device, all of them must have the numbers to make calls.

On advanced video applications it’s possible to write. To make this available on any mobile phone the text is written using the numeric key in the same way as when writing a SMS.

Being able to write text in a video call allow to search information or contents that are not necessary an option preset on the screen. This expands immensely the possibilities of this mobile channel.

Using the PIMobile the video call interacts with the user in a simple way; all complexity is stored inside the product as much as the user applies for the information and content desired.

How to create contents?

It’s important for PIMobile that contents creation is not a barrier for this new communication channel.

The contents for PIMobile video applications are generated with standard Web tools. PIMobile takes advantage of the existing experience on Web contents creation and encourage the use of it to make the video applications.

The QCIF Web (3G) are published in real time on the video calls, keeping the advantages of speed to generate and visualize content and the independency of them.

When receiving a call the PIMobile platform navigates to the QCIF Web where the contents are and show them in the mobile terminal. PIMobile transfer the ANI and DNIS to the QCIF web, this allow content personalization and statistic generation as a usual portal web.

The big difference between the video call know until to today and PIMobile is that the last does not need pre recorded contents; they are generated in real time.

What are the advantages of PIMobile for Contact Centers?

PIMobile has the possibility of offering an automated information service, capable of resolving most of the users’ demands without an operator intervention

Any PIMobile application can offer the option of switching to a video operator to answer the call and resolve personally the user requests.

PIMobile lets create video applications that act as IVVR and don’t need a prefixed and prerecorded tree of contents. PIMobile IVVR applications can give the latest information at a given time personalized for the user requesting it.

This technology lets us create a video application configurable by the user, and even adapt the video portal through video calls history. The IVVR created in PIMobile can be linked to company information page and through it obtain the latest information. This has the advantage of keeping the information in a unique place simplifying updates.

Sabadel Bank is the first of a long list that will go to market with a video application of a ATM mobile. The banks invest in PIMobile that allows their users to interact with the bank simply making a video call.

In the 10º Call Center and CRM Solutions conference organized by IFAES, CESTEL created an informative video application. In this PIMobile application the user would be able to consult the time and topic of the conferences taking place there, will be able to consult the files of any of the expositors and consult their location in the conference. Plus an Avatar will give the general information of the 10º Call Center and CRM Solutions conference.
